Best Portland Breakfast

At Power Mazda, we’re firm believers in the most important meal of the day: breakfast! Hardy morning meals get you through the day, whether you’re selling Mazda sedans, heading to a job interview, or having some grub on a Saturday morning with the family. Below, you’ll find what we believe to be the BEST breakfasts Portland, OR has to offer.

Le Pigeon

Le Pigeon (738 E Burnside) offers unique, French-inspired dishes that are meant to be shared. Every meal has a bit of a twist, which is a refreshing broadening of the taste-buds. For brunch, try the Shrimp and Grits, which comes with andouille sausage, herb salad, and torpedo onion. The price isn’t astronomical, though it’s not cheap either—but it’s absolutely worth every penny.

Olympia Provisions American Charcuterie

This unique, industrial-style restaurant offers a great experience if you want to eat in, or take out if you want to devour fantastic food in your own home. As a charcuterie, Olympia Provisions (107 SE Washington St) is heavy on the European-style meats and cheeses. For dinner, try the Steak Tartare or the Seared Halibut.

Andina

Peruvian tapas and cocktails combined with a comfortable and friendly interior make Andina (1314 NW Glisan Street) a superb spot for dinner. Admittedly, they’re less of a breakfast spot and more of a brunch spot, offering great breakfast foods from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Modern Peruvian meals are a melting pot of influences, from traditional Spanish meals to the cooking of Moorish Arabs, not to mention the influence brought to Peru by immigrants from China, Japan, France, and Italy. Bring some friends and share some Palta Rellena de Cangerejo—avocado stuffed crab with a poached prawn and aioli de rocoto. With that said, the Escabeche de Pollito may be too much for one person to eat—grilled chicken with salsa escabeche—but it’s too tasty to share!
